Itinerary

Our flagship route combining the best of Kyrgyzstan: Ala-Archa glaciers, ancient Burana, the southern and eastern shores of Issyk-Kul, the red rocks of Jeti-Oguz and a night in a yurt on high Song-Kol lake. Comfortable pace, the best guesthouses and hands-on encounters with locals.

1. Day 1

   Arrival in Bishkek

   • Airport pick-up and hotel transfer
   • Walk through the centre and Osh Bazaar
   • Welcome dinner

2. Day 2

   Ala-Archa

   • Hike to the waterfall in the national park
   • Picnic among the spruces

3. Day 3

   Burana → Issyk-Kul

   • Burana Tower and balbal field
   • Drive to the north shore, swim
   • Night in Cholpon-Ata

4. Day 4

   Karakol

   • Wooden cathedral and Dungan mosque
   • Dinner with a Dungan family

5. Day 5

   Jeti-Oguz

   • 'Seven Bulls' and 'Broken Heart' rocks
   • Walk to the Valley of Flowers

6. Day 6

   South shore

   • Skazka Canyon
   • Eagle-hunting show
   • Felt-making workshop in Bokonbaevo

7. Day 7

   Kochkor → Song-Kol

   • Kyzart pass
   • Check in to a yurt camp at 3,016 m

8. Day 8

   Song-Kol

   • Horse ride along the lake
   • Nomadic life, kumis and a starry sky

9. Day 9

   Return to Bishkek

   • Drive back over the passes
   • Farewell dinner with folk show

10. Day 10

    Departure

    • Airport transfer
